Top 10 Richest Countries in the World

Today, when I got up and listen to the radio about the lives of people around the world makes me very upset and feel pity for people who live in the poorest and less developed countries. Many people have no food, health care, a house even the right to travel and speak. But this feeling makes me come up with the topic of the richest countries in the world nowadays. I also want to know why they become the richest countries and why some countries are still the poorest I will write about the poorest country in my next topic.

I try to research and collect many information and data from many sources like books and the internet then I choose the high economist country that should list in my top 10 richest countries in the world. In this topic, we do not refer to the biggest economic countries but we choose the highest GDP per capita, output value, expenditure value and income value because the countries in the world have different land and populations. There is the list of these countries:

10. Kuwait

Kuwait is also a country in Asia Region. It is the richest country with a GDP of $43,700.  It becomes the richest country because of its natural resources from petroleum and gas. It is a small country with a population of only 2.8 million which is easy to control. The government tries to use its budget to develop the country in long-term development because it cannot rely on the natural resource forever so only developing economic and human resources is the best way for Kuwait.

9. Switzerland

Switzerland is a very beautiful country that many people around the world wish to live in. This country is famous because of its watch, human rights and social welfare. Its GDP per capita is $45,285.8 which can list it as the top richest country. Most of Switzerland’s income is from agriculture, tourism and banking and other services. The banking system in Switzerland was recognised around the world as the safest bank.

8. The United Arab Emirates

This country is in Asia Region and full of natural resources like petroleum and gas. It depends mainly on its natural resource and this makes it become the richest country in the world. United Arab Emirates has a GDP of over $48,400. The government tries to use the money from oil to develop the country like education, transportation, tourist, services and banking system also social welfare. Now it become very famous with a beautiful building, high and expensive also become the business centre of the world.

7. The United States of America

The United States of America is strong in nearly all factors. It is a collective of people around the world with different cultures and backgrounds but all people have one value American. It is among the top 10 richest countries with a GDP per capita of $49,820.15. This country becomes strong and strong after World War 2; and it has good technology, economic power, Army, Human resource and natural resource. It is the superpower country that controls the world for nearly 100 years.

6. Brunei

Brunei is a small country in South East Asia is also a member of Asean like Singapore. It became the richest country because of its natural resource especially petroleum and natural gas. The people of Brunei have average annual GDP of $50,400 but the real people living standard is not good as other richest countries because government policy does not match the need of people and the human resource of Brunei also limited. Brunei has a population of around 500,000  and is also the least populated country in the world its less population is the important thing that makes it become the richest.

5. Hong Kong

Long Kong is in Asia as part of China with special administration. It is the richest one in Asia and also in the world. The economy of Hong Kong is similar to Singapore’s economy which focuses on services and the financial system. It currently has a GDP per capita of $50,708.95 and its income comes also from sectors like tourism and transport. As part of China is also an important factor that makes Hong Kong the most developed economically.

4. Norway

Norway is in Europe countries. This country is among the top richest countries because it has a GDP Per Capita of $55,264 which is lower than Qatar, Luxembourg and Singapore. People of Norway are enjoying their living there because the government takes much attention to social welfare and security. It is a cold country and has borders with Finland, Russia and Sweden. Norway’s earnings are from large natural gas reserves and oil, fishing, and agricultural and edible products like coffee and waffles. People are living very happy lifestyles and this country is also famous for human rights and freedom.

3. Singapore

Singapore is a small country in South East Asia in Asean community.  In Asia that is has 10 members, Singapore has the highest GDP per Capital and the standard of living of people is the best. This country has strict and strong regulations but it is acceptable for their people to ensure public security. It is also the low rate of crime country in the world and the Singaporeans are very proud of their nation because it is a small country but no one can look down on Singapore. It is the centre of the port, financial, service, tourists and health care. The population of this small country is about 5.5 million with $67,035 per capita.

2. Luxembourg

Luxembourg is one of the European countries that are famous civilian countries. The people of Luxemburg enjoy their life and are proud to be born in Luxembourg. It is not a big country with a strong army like Russia, France, England, Germany or USA but it is a strong economic country. It is the centre of any kind of business and it was called a tax heaven place in the world. There are a lot of millionaires who live and do business here because the government policy very matches the investor’s need as a free tax zone. Luxembourg is famous because of its telecommunications and steel industry. If we say about average earning per person per year is $79,977 that is lower than Qatar.

1. Qatar

Qatar is a small country in Asia with a population of around 2 million. This country is the richest in the world with a $182 Billion GDP and on average, one person earns $96,993 per year. Qatar becomes the richest country because of its natural resources like petroleum and another important natural resource. It exports petroleum to the world that can earn around 85% of the total GDP. Because It has a lot of money, the government of Qatar uses their money to develop the country like building a transportation system, education, banking and business centre. The government policy makes Qatar attract more tourists, banking and another economic centre that can be used for the long-term development of the country that is dependent on natural resource.
